Smith/Packett LLC, recently closed on the construction loan for a new 195 unit Independent Living and Assisted Living facility with Memory Care in the growing State Capital City of Dover, DE (Kent County). Named Harmony at Kent, this community is located on East Lebanon Road.

This community is strategically located near growing residential and commercial and is near Dover Air Force Base, which is one of the largest airbase installations in the world. The community will be managed by Harmony Senior Services, adding another state to Harmony’s growing footprint of communities. Construction commenced in June 2019 and the community is scheduled to open in early 2021.

Harmony at Kent features 86 spacious independent living apartments and 71 well-appointed assisted living apartments, as well as a 38-unit secure Memory Care wing that provides care for residents with Alzheimer’s. Harmony at Kent also features expansive common area spaces designed to enhance the lives of the residents within the community, and also features outdoor courtyards to provide residents with ample outdoor recreation space.

Harmony at Kent will offer a variety of floor plan options with one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and studio apartments available. The 196,000 square foot community has a Total Project Cost of nearly $45,000,000.
